Evelyn H. Launder, founder of
Pink Ribbon Cancer Awareness, died today from a non-genetic ovarian cancer. She was 75. Launder started out her foundation at first as a small campaign handing out pink bows at her department store to make women more aware of cancer. It eventually evolved gaining over $330 million in donations and having congress name october as
Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
