According to a classic Seinfeld episode "The Strike" December 23rd is officially "festivus.". In the show George reveals to Elaine and Jerry that his father invented a holiday called Festivus, an alternative to what he considered to be the over-commercialized holiday of Christmas. This ridiculous notion seems to still be on people's minds nearly 14 years later as many are still mentioning the idea today on twitter, social media and blogs across the Internet. People seem to still hold certain tv shows from the 90's still close to their hearts. -Newsbound 12/23/11
